Letting Go: How I Stopped Looking Back

If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present. – Lao Tzu

It’s taken me way too long to learn that hanging on to the past will only hurt you.  And when I say ‘hanging on to the past’, I’m not talking about those great childhood memories.  I’m talking about the bad ones.. Continue reading “Letting Go: How I Stopped Looking Back”

Oh MY GODDD!  My face is on fire!

I knew that there would be “flushing” involved.  But I had NO idea it would feel like I stuck my head in an oven…

To be fair.  You are supposed to take Niacin with food and I popped my pill BEFORE lunch.  Now I’m hiding in my office hoping my co-workers won’t see me cause.. really.. I’m sure there’s smoke coming from this room. Continue reading “Niacin for Depression: Week 1 Progress (day 3,4,5)”

Do you ever get home after a long day sitting on your butt at work and realize that you don’t feel that great?

I used to work as a waitress, so when I joined the 9 to 5 grind and found myself behind a keyboard 8 hours a day I realized two things.  One, my waist line was slowly expanding and two, my mental health (mood) was slowly declining.  I was becoming miserable.

I’m sure many people can relate.  An object at rest stays at rest, right?  (That Newton was so damn smart.)  So how do you combat this?
